Hey, y’all! I’m Susan from Adventures in my Kitchen!
I like to blog about simple, creative, budget friendly recipes that lean toward the healthier side. I do love my desserts, but try to keep everything in moderation!
I am so glad that Lindsay has allowed me to guest post for her because I am sharing with y’all a sweet snack that wont break your budget, or your buttons, if you know what I mean… Sugar Cinnamon Roasted Chick Peas. YUM! Sugar and spice make everything nice, and that is definitely true of this tasty treat! Hope y’all enjoy and feel free to hop on over to my little corner of the internet! You can also find me on Facebook and Instagram!
Cinnamon & Sugar Roasted Chick Peas
1 can chick peas- drain, rinse, and pick out any loose shells
2 tsp coconut oil- melted
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tbs honey (or maple, agave, etc.)
Directions:
Preheat over to 375*
Dry the drained and rinsed chick peas on a paper towel making sure to get any loose shells. I a medium bowl, whisk together the coconut oil, cinnamon, and sugar. Throw in dried chick peas and toss to coat.
Spread chick peas on a lined baking sheet making sure they’re spread out.
Bake for 35-45mins, shaking pan every now and then to turn chick peas. When crunchy and roasty, remove from oven. In a clean bowl, toss roasted chick peas with honey and then allow to cool and dry. Store them in an airtight container if you don’t gobble them up right away!
Thank you so much Susan for joining me to co-host this week’s link party and thank you for this incredible recipe!!
